We wanted to take a minute to go through some of the changes to the website. As mentioned previously we have disabled being able to login or setup an account on the main website unless you have previously been setup to write articles. These articles are things we want to share with the public or within the club that are important enough to make part of the main website.
For regular club members you will use the main site to stay up to date with the latest news, but will instead click on the Forum link either in the top right welcome area or down beside the login link. This will take you into the main communication hub for our club. This is the area we’ll all be posting questions, bragging about our latest gear or cool things we’ve learned at the latest tech day or pretty much anything else, club related or not. In order to view the links and supporting documents in the forum you’ll need to setup an account over there so that you can log in. This will display additional tools and options that you won’t see if you’re not logged in.
We highly encourage everyone to use the forum to communicate with each other from this point forward. Your communications and information will be shared with the world and the more information we have the more valuable other HAM’s will find our site and will begin to use it. The only way we’ll ever reach that point however is if we all grab hold and use it.
