Tech Day Update
by ki4qdt on Jun.04, 2009, under Club Information, Tech Days
Tech Day was pretty successful so I am going to try and make this a monthly event. The next Tech Day will most likely be June 13.
Tech Day will serve several purposes.
- Training for emergency operations.
- Experimenting with various modes of operation.
- Opportunity to get other hams to join the club.
- Opportunity to get non-hams interested in amateur radio.
- And the best purpose, have fun.
If you know some who would be interested in joining us at the next Tech Day, go ahead and ask them to come on out.
Tech Day

This is kind of last minute but some of us have put together a “Tech Day”. We will be experimenting with Cross band repeating, D-STAR, and D-RATS if you want to come have some fun and play around with something new then come on out.
Our cross band repeater will be on 146.530MHz and 446.250MHz simplex with no PL tone. If you can’t make it out then please try and contact us on one of the two simplex frequencies and give us your position. Your position report is import as we are trying to gauge what out coverage area is with this cross band setup.
This event will occur Saturday at 9:30AM in Heritage Park. The cross band repeater should be online by 10AM. If anyone needs directions just click the Google maps link and the bellow.
We will also be monitoring the KE4UAS and WA4DIW repeaters just in case anyone needs directions.
